Within a central circle, ‘Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / ʿAlī walī Allāh’ (‘Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Ali is the friend of Allah’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū Muḥammad rasūl Allāh ʿAlī walī Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Ali is the friend of Allah’ in Arabic in a blundered style). Rev. Within a central circle, ‘al-Ḥākim bi amr Allāh / amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘al-Hakim bi amr Allah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); illegible mint and date formula in the margin. Album 710. Well struck and unusually attractive. A few scrapes and with light areas of weakness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
